Once a year, seventy thousand people gather in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert to create Black Rock City, the home of Burning Man. A temporary metropolis dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance. In this crucible of creativity, we hustled to find our place, and ourselves. This is the story of my first burn.
